Luxury geodomes, inspired by nature and perfect place to rewild, relax and replensih, with stunning sea views, on-site sauna, pizza nights, gigs and glorious beaches just down the road.
WilderMe is a beautiful project in every sense. Profits from weekend stays support our social enterprise that runs wellness and nature retreats in the week for autistic children & adults. We want to share our beautiful corner of Cornwall with as many people as possible and by enjoying the wonderful peace of a stay here, you’ll be helping us to do so, as well as becoming part of our story.
The view from the conservation area where six comfy geodomes are sited is simply incredible. Nearby Maker Heights is a collective of artists and artisans doing and making incredible things. You can pick up souvenirs or stop for a meal at The Canteen, where ex-Riverford chef Nick Platt serves up fantastic rustic food. As well as being a good cause and an inspiring place, WilderMe is an invitation to connect with nature. There are deer and skylarks in the meadow, dolphins to be seen on boat trips in the bays and the South West Coast path just a few minutes away from some great hiking.
Each of the domes has a double bed, with two extra single beds available for kids, and is a simple space built for relaxation after a day of adventuring in Cornwall. The six domes share two showers and two toilets creatively housed in a trailer, but you’re more than welcome to pop over to the neighbouring campsite and use the facilities there. A seventh dome is used as a communal kicten, with cooking facilities if the local pub or The Canteen don’t tempt you out for dinner. The whole site is natural and off-grid, but lanterns are provided so you can get around and the lack of power just adds to the feeling of simple, rustic goodness and a friendly spirit that’s at its best on the frequent pizza and music nights.
The Canteen cafe is run by ex River Cottage Chef offering homemade local culinary delights at reasonable prices. However The Canteen is only one part of the creative community that calls Maker Heights home, with musicians, artists and artisans running social projects, studios and workshops in an old army barrack. It’s one of the things, along with the good cause, the feeling of warmth and inclusivity, and the simple magic of being wild and free in a beautiful part of the world, that makes WilderMe the sort of place we're sure you'll absolutely love.
